There is a clear distinction between a ‘virtual address’ service and ‘registered address’ service.

A ‘virtual address’ service is a wider service that allows businesses to use our address as their own. So for example you can use the address Brightfield Business Hub, Bakewell Road, Orton Southgate, Peterborough, PE2 6XU as your business address. Infinitly more professional and credible than being Flat 2B, Maple Terrace

A ‘registered address’ service is a defined service specifically for use by LTDs and LLPs that are registered at Companies House.

In simple terms, the ‘Registered Address’ service is restricted to mail sent by government departments that will only write to the address recorded at Companies House.

Typically, Companies House and HMRC will write to your company at the ‘registered office address’. This is a legal term used for the address of limited companies (LTDs) and Limited Liability Partnerships (LLP’s) registered at Companies House. This address service is therefore only designed for government mail and legal notices.

Virtual Address Services

There are two types of virtual address services. A fixed price service, or a flexible service for those with higher volumes of mail.

Fixed Price Virtual Address Service

This service allows you use the address as both the registered office and as a general business address.
It also includes the service address for directors.
Choose the number of mail items you want included in the fixed price service and we will forward up to that number of items for up to 12 months.
Parcels or goods are not included. This ‘Virtual Address’ service is for general business mail to be received and forwarded.
Any letter type post up to 1kg per item will be forwarded whether it is received from a government department or not.
Mail must be addressed to the company or person you have asked us to receive mail for.

Flexible Service Virtual Address Service

This flexible service is for businesses expecting more than one hundred letters per year .
It covers forwarding all non-government mail up to 1kg per item but no goods (only letter type post) and for your general business mail
This flexible service does not include using the address at Companies House as the registered address.

Use a Virtual address on your website

One of the main reasons that customers purchase a virtual address is to keep their own home address ‘off’ websites and stationery.

You can only use our address on your website if you have purchased the correct Virtual Office service. It is important for businesses that they add an address to websites. Having a physical address shown on a website provides peace of mind to customers that the company is real and legitimate. Having your address on your website is a legal requirement for limited companies.

As this service covers all general business letters you can use our address on your website as if it were your own address.

It is strongly recommend that you show your company name and display the address to avoid people writing to you at the virtual address with no company name. Having no company name featured makes it difficult to identify who the mail belongs to. You are cannot use our virtual address for goods or parcels to be forwarded though, it is only for letter type post.
